Never Alone
Never alone I am with you,
Guiding your life in many ways.
You almost can never see me,
But I am here for your questions.
Never alone you talk with me,
With words of love from the heavens,
My wings are unfurled,
As an angel I protect you.
Never alone, the stars are bright.
When you drift off to dream at night.
I watch over the home you live in,
A guardian, an officer of God's court.
Never alone I sometimes whisper,
Words that you need,
In the answers I give to you.
Throughout this life, you are never alone.
Lady Evyl, Poet
Darkness is the specialty.
Writing with passion and desire
Words form on the page
Keeping the reader involved
Curiosity fills the minds.
Charged with sexual tension
As the poems become alive
And the stories captivate the eyes.
Long live the creations.
That fills the nighttime world
In the mind of our resident dark poet
Don't Give Me Away
As you look upon my face,
You wonder what I am thinking
For here I lie, tiny and new,
Looking into your saddened eyes,
With tears rushing like the brook,
I wish that I could say.
Please mama;
Don't give me away,
Never leave me in the arms of a stranger.
Life will get better every day,
Just pray and have patience,
So mama, don't give me away.
I can hear your words,
But cannot understand them.
I see more tears rolling off your cheeks,
You begin to tell me everything,
With this struggle that is so great.
From day to day.
Although, I am so small and new,
I must be a distraction of sorts to you,
Don't think in this manner,
Wipe those thoughts from your head,
As it is so hard to comprehend,
I repeat these words to you.
Please mama;
Don't give me away,
Never leave in the arms of a stranger.
Life will get better every day,
Just pray and have patience.
So please mama, don't give me away.
I wish I could tell you,
How much brighter today has already been,
There is a smile I haven't seen before,
Something that you never show.
There is a sign of better things,
For it's good to feel this happy again.
Now as you look upon me this day,
Still wondering about my thoughts,
Such a tiny child lying here so quiet,
As you look into my happy face,
You see my mind working,
As I wish I could say to you.
I thank you mama,
For not giving me away,
Strangers that will never hold me
For life is getting better for you.
With much praying and patience life has worked out,
So I thank you mama, for not giving me away.
Who Really Knows?
Beneath my feet
Is the solid ground we walk upon?
Step by step into the future
Quietly longing for the unknown
Is this life, lost in time?
Gone is the peace and simplicity
Shattered is the world
Are changes forth--coming?
Who really knows?
Beneath these lonely feet
Where is the earth is fertile
The food of life can be grown
From the seeds planted yearly
Dust blows over the land
Leading farmers to weep
Waiting for a rebirth
Where will it all go?
Who really knows?
Beneath my tired feet
A winter's blanket has fallen
Tiny seedlings wait in slumber
For spring's warming embrace
Hibernation beckons the animals
As few dare to roam in the frigid cold
Seasons come seasons go
For this we are inclined to ask
Who really knows?
Reunited
They separated on a rainy night in June,
Vowing to see new people.
Quietly it came to pass,
Two soul mates near a crossroads.
Not certain of the future,
So unhappy with the recent days
Living on each coast, in an existence untrue,
They live their lives.
Work finds a comfort,
But once they are home it is another story.
Wondering why it ended so quietly,
While deep inside the love burns bright.
He lives in the west coast,
Existing without her smile.
Trying to find new love,
Only to cry into his pillow at night,
As his soul yearns to be with her,
Writing a letter, only to throw it out.
She is in New York,
Making her way as a dancer,
Well a stripper, not the actress she once was.
Her tears could fill a bathtub,
Her pain could destroy her heart,
But she conquers it with her pictures.
He returned to the country,
Where they first made love,
Under an oak tree during a storm.
She followed her heart and found her soul mate,
Resting under the tree,
Where their names are engraved for eternity.
Seeing him naked, she strips and lies beside him.
Stroking his love gun, she wakes him up.
He smiles brightly as they share a kiss,
And make love once again.
Now reunited, their souls are happy,
With a love that should have never stopped.
Closer to Heaven
Slowly the little boy climbs
To the highest branch of an old oak
He sobs with every movement
Steadily he seeks the top
His father has left him
Alone in this life
Except for his mother
He loses out on new things
Like fishing and baseball
That his father could teach him
Without male guidance
He makes his way skyward
Cause before he has started to climb
Someone has gently asked
Why does he climb this large old tree?
Without any hesitation
And no momentary lapse
The young lad quietly replied
My dad is gone away
To live with God evermore
For now I shall not see him again
So I am climbing this great tree
That my father had planted when he was young
To get closer to heaven
In hopes I can see my father once more
In the Clover
She walks in the clover
Enjoying the greenery of the earth
Reveling in the beauty of life
Bare foot and feeling the coolness
He went forth to the valley
Where a brook runs past the clover
To see what everyone is so pleased with
And enjoy the freedom of the day
She runs through the field
Soaking up the sun on her face
Waiting 'til the moment is hers
To cool in the brook in the valley
He watches in awe
With the lady enjoying the sun
As she frolics in the beauty
Of God's fine handy work
She runs wildly past
Never noticing that he is near
While stripping out of her clothes
Feeling the air kiss her tanned body
He wants to join her
But decides to stay out of sight
As the lady is naked in the midday sun
Loving the freedom her body feels
She rubs the cool water over her breasts
Smiling as she wants to explode in sight
Sitting in the plush cushion
With her butt nestled in the cool green grass
He holds his whistle back
Noticing her out stretched form
A mouth wide open at her angelic beauty
Where he wants to join her now
She quietly lies upon the grass
Deciding to get her clothes on
He looks over at her leaving
Cursing the mistake her made
She leaves her under wear behind
Lying near the brook so cool
Hoping to have the man follow her
Of what she enjoyed in the clover
A Song For You
If I could write a song for you
Describing the feeling that will never die
Those words would come from the heart
In which a smile would cross your face
I would tell you of your beauty in every way
That no other could ever take your place
And as I look deep into your eyes
The stars of heaven glow so bright
Now that you heart beats along with mine
Our favorite songs play over in our minds
Your touch is so soft and warm
Like the rain of the early morn
When you speak so clear and lively
Your tones are soft and poetic
Like an angel was writing on our hearts
For this I show my abiding love
Now with the words I write in this verse
I hope they show the essence of my soul
When it comes to what I really feel
As I wish I could write you a song
All I Want For Christmas
The day got closer
As the snow covered the frozen ground
Lights went up all over the city
As he wondered what made her smile so
Gifts adorned the tree
With mistletoe hanging on high
Families sharing the love of the season
As she walked to his waiting arms
Having a spot for a gift underneath
He kept wondering if she would say
What gift would please her the most?
On the most special Christmas day
He finally broke the silence of the day
Walking to where she waits his hug
His question would be so simple
Like the wrapping on the presents lying there
She opens her mouth to say something sweet
But he asks her the question in his mind
My darling on this special season
What would you want to see?
She didn't take long to respond
As he held her gently that day
She said this softly in his ear
All I want for Christmas is you
White Line Fever
The dark night seems strange
Going from town to town
The only friends I have
Are the radio and the white lines?
A solid painted stripe on the highway
Separating the two lanes
Keeping the slow drivers to one side
Yep I've got it, the white line fever
Smokey's roll by
As I slow to a crawl
Only to speed up to my next stop
A coffee is what I need tonight
Something that keeps me going
That black fuel for my soul
Strong enough to melt the license
As I have the white line fever
Roadhouse honeys
Greet me as I stop the Jimmy
To get some food and maybe a shower
But wait, I need some companionship
Before I hit the road again
The road calls be back so quick
So I rev the eighteen-wheeler
Forever I have the white line fever
