Into A Glass
In a darkened house
He sits at the table
Tears rolling down his cheeks
As his smile turns down
Head drooping to the top
He wonders as he...
Pours his life into a glass
One drop at a time
Lamenting over his life
And the love he lost
With the mounting pain
He looks into the glass
As his life slowly turns downward
The man cries a little
Sipping the brown liquor
That wets his lips
And fills the stomach so empty
As he slowly...
Pour his life into a glass
On drop at a time
Lamenting over his life
And the love he lost
With the mounting pain
He looks into the glass
A light shines around him
For the lady has returned
She pours out the whiskey
And kisses him softly
His heart skips a beat
Now he wonders no more
Are You With Me Tonight?
On my way to paradise,
I have stumbled oh so many times.
This life still is not complete,
So I send a prayer, so lost and lonely.
Not only tonight, but each and every one, I remain here.
And yet I wonder to myself,
Are you with me tonight?
Love seems to shun me,
Even those special ladies I attract,
Have walked away, left my heart.
Try as I might,
The angels turn the other way,
Which leads me to ask once again,
Are you with me tonight?
Goodnight, from this room so solemn,
As I close these eyes of mine.
Words from deep within go unnoticed,
Flying away with the winds.
Hear these cries of pain,
As forever I shall inquire,
Are you with me tonight?
Will I Miss You in Heaven?
Life has many winding roads,
That separates hearts occasionally.
Daily thoughts of you, keep dwindling fast,
As the longing and the yearning grows deeper.
A pain that never leaves,
From a heart that is totally broken.
We get driven further apart.
Can we get it back again?
And when that final call comes,
Where God leads us into the light,
To a home that is pleasant and true.
When we have that everlasting life,
Will the hurting finally subside?
I often tend to wonder silently,
Will I miss you in heaven?
Like I am missing you here tonight.
The Valley
Walking in the valley so deep,
To face the shadows which haunt me,
Letting old habits go,
From demons built over the years.
Afraid to move on,
And now as I near the middle,
Praying for help,
Longing for guidance,
Lo as I stand here alone,
Conversing with the Lord.
One by one,
Those shadows fade away.
A light now shines so bright,
As I slowly leave the valley,
A vibrant heart,
Beating inside this new man
Invisible Guides
Sensitively burnt and solemn,
The road to long love is tough.
Tears may flow,
Hearts will break.
As the invisible guides take hold of you.
Smiling and all aglow,
When the feelings blend together.
Electricity flows strong and true,
For the love that is inside expands,
With the invisible guides holding true.
Angels all around you,
Letting you know which way to go.
Hands held tight,
Lips touching in warmth forever,
Hearts on fire, now and forever.
A Precious Flower
She is a precious flower,
Growing in a field of thorns.
Touched by the early sun,
And kissed by the morning dew.
Bright are her dreams,
Achieving each goal naturally,
Enjoying a peaceful ride.
Her life sees no setbacks,
Moving rapidly in every task,
Continually learning new lessons.
Reaching for the evasive brass ring,
Though not being ostentatious.
Rewards are not her motivation,
For an inner peace fills her soul.
With no voids present,
As a reigning happiness presides,
Love will flow and radiate,
Making no changes inside.
She moves gently forward,
Leaving pain and sorrow aside,
For she is an angel, a precious flower forever.
Look In Her Eyes
Every morning he smiles,
With the tears welling up deep within.
She brings him joy and happiness.
Even when he is gone away.
From the soul that is ever present.
She cries as he leaves to conduct business.
Not knowing when his heart is at hand.
He looks for an answer,
A reason so he will not to leave.
And see her alone for a week or two.
The morning is drawing to a close,
As he prepares to gain more clout,
But she sees his look,
And he is all knowing,
For the signal she has given once again.
He phones the office, he won't be going,
For he is sending someone in his place.
She cries as he tells her he is here,
To give her the love that is needed,
Forever from that look in her eyes.
Whisper To Me
Whisper to me...
From the heart this night,
The words that mean so much,
As I listen beneath the moonlight.
Whisper to me...
What we can only hope to hear,
Deep into the darkness,
Where the star continue to flicker.
Whisper to me...
Only what will warm the soul,
Words that shall live forever,
In our eternal flame.
Whisper to me...
In soft poetic phrases,
The love you have,
Deep within your eyes tonight.
The Power of a Woman
A power that drives her soul,
Gathering that momentum from within.
A strength that shines eternaly everyday.
You will see it in her eyes,
In those duties that she carries out.
No one knows how it is done,
But the ladies are remarkable.
Yet no matter how life battles her,
She strikes back harder and with vigor.
Ferocious in her daily attack,
Occasionally lying down to relax.
She is a woman of the future,
Guided from the present time,
A woman of incredible strength,
So much more powerful than any man.
We should never underestimate,
Any of these beautiful creations,
Of God's enormous handiwork,
Once you witness in every way,
The power of a woman.
The Dark 2
A moonlit country path,
Leading up the side of a mountain.
Quiet, yet eerie as the road winds onward.
A howl in the distance,
Breaks the silence of the evening.
Another skin crawling howl,
Has the head spinning to see,
What might be following behind?
A shadow covers the moonlight,
Your blood turns cold and yet.
At the top of the mountain,
A castle once vibrant and strong,
Makes you want to run,
But curiosity keeps you moving ahead.
As the owner decides not be here.
The creeping door moves as you enter,
Taking small steps as the darkness beckons thee,
Down in the deepest bowels of the building.
A flap of wings scares you to reality,
The inhabitant is not what you think.
Welcome says the voice from beyond,
As you turn to run, you freeze right there,
Another set of flapping wings
Proof the inhabitant is not human.
Where the moon lights the fangs.
Again the chance to run seems there,
But a howling wolf keeps things clear.
Where are you?
You ask as the vampire opens the cape,
As you fade to black in your dream.
The darkness calls you,
But the dreams scare you,
When the light wakens the soul,
Or was it reality,
Where shivers make your skin crawl.
A trance is placed upon thee,
From the being that stands in front of you.
The bell tolls as he moves to.
Greet you or is it biting you.
On a dark moonlit night.
